Then you tell them you want to put a FREEZE on the "no long distance provider" option (some kinda damn weird third party deal required, pesty but it works). Then you call your long distance provider and tell 'em you want to discontinue your service as of right this minute. Then maybe wait a day or two and call back to check and be sure the bastards really DID pull the fucking plug on everything, ok?
